SUMMARY:Opportunities for the domestic use of cutting-edge European IT research infrastructures under the SLICES ESFRI programme
DESCRIPTION:\nWith the help of national and international speakers, the event will provide an insight into 12 major European open research infrastructures that effectively support machine learning, 5G/6G communications, cloud-edge computing and the Internet of Things (IoT). The SLICES program supported by the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI), of which ELKH Cloud is a member, not only provides the domestic scientific community with easy remote access to the infrastructures presented, but also allows for personal visits with mobility support through the calls for proposals presented.\n\n\n\nProgram of the Hungarian SLICES event on the 26th of January 2023\n\n\n\n\n9:00 – 10:00Péter Kacsuk (SZTAKI): Introduction to SLICES and to the SLICES RIs (in Hungarian)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n10:00 – 10:30Péter Kacsuk(SZTAKI): Transnational and virtual access of the SLICES RIs and connected long mobility (in Hungarian)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCoffee Break\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n10:40 – 11:00Brecht Vermeulen (IMEC, Belgium): Introductionto the IMEC research infrastructure \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n11:00 – 11:20Zoltán Juhász (Pannon Univ.): Parallel brain bioelectrical signal processing in a multi-GPU environment using the iMEC research infrastructure (in Hungarian)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n11:20 – 11:40Sebastian Gallenmüller (Technical University Munich, Germany): Introduction to the TUM research infrastructure\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n11:40 – 11:50All speakers: Questions and answers\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Link\n\n
